10 TIPS TO HELP YOU PERFORM TO YOUR HIGEST POTENTIAL

10 TIPS TO HELP YOU PERFORM TO YOUR HIGHEST POTENTIAL

High Potential

1. Let go of what others think.

Yes, some people will not think you performed will, but there are others who think you are a star.

2. Perform for yourself, not to impress or to "not dissappoint" others.

You're a cheerleader because you want to be right ? Remember why you love this sport and perform with that in mind.

3. Accept that you will make mistakes, and let them go.

See them as a learning oppourtunity.

4. Focus on what you can control.

You cannot control the judges.

5. Reconize when you are using negative self-talk and replace it with positive.

"You will never make a thought this routine." To " I've done it in practice 3 times in a row. I can do it here once. "

6. Rather than performing perfectly, perform to see improvement.

A perfect cheerleader does not exist. When we have reached the point of not having anything to improve, we are done learning.

7. Be objective about your performance, not subjective.

What would you say to your best friend if she performed the same as you have ? Why would you treat yourself as any different ?

8. Focus on the journey not the destination.

What matters are the friends you make and memories you share, not the title/s that might be won.

9. Celebrate your successes.

Your hard work has paid off. Take the time to let it sink in.

10. Stay in the moment.

Only think about the section in the routine you are performing, not the whole routine, what you Just did or what you are about to execute.

FINAL WORDS

Thank you for reading, hope you like it and feel free to please share it everywhere.

Reaching your potential requires introspection and certain proactive behaviors—but it starts with a basic philosophy, or “rules of the road.”

  • Managing your career is 100% your responsibility, and you need to act accordingly. Many promising professionals expect their superiors to mentor them, give them thoughtful coaching, provide them with challenging opportunities, and generally steer their development. Such a passive approach is likely to derail you at some point. While your superiors will play a role, your career is your own.

  • Be wary of conventional wisdom. It’s almost always wrong—for you. Hopping on the bandwagon may feel good initially but often leads to painful regrets years later. To reach your potential, you must filter out peer pressure and popular opinion; assess your own passions, skills, and convictions; and then be courageous enough to act on them.

High Potential

  • Have faith that, although justice may not prevail at any given point in time, it should generally prevail over time. When you do suffer an injustice, you need to be willing to step back and objectively assess your own role in these events. That mind-set will help you learn from inevitable setbacks and eventually bounce back. It will also help you stay focused on issues you can control as well as bolster your determination to act like the ultimate decision maker.
