It also means that we have to respect the rights of others as much as we want others to respect our rights. these rights flow from the fact that we are human beings. That requires an attitude of respect for other ethnic groups. Once we shed our narrow-minded misconception and prejudices,all our communicates can live and work together as brothers and sisters.
That unity has to be based on the thinking that all our peoples form a single body with different parts. When ethnic diversity is respected , the social bond is strengthened. When that happens we experience peace and progress. Ethnic diversity becomes a source of strength and blessing. When we promote equility and respect for the riches and rights of every group in the North-East India and in the rest of India,our region and our country will become healthy and peaceful.
